We appreciate grace. We love grace. Grace is all about sinners redeemed by a sovereign and holy and all-merciful God. Grace is Christ, the Son of God, who came in the flesh to die for sinners who deserved no grace but only punishment. Grace is Christ paying for sin on the cross and accounting His righteousness as ours - all by humble, repentant faith. Grace is Christ becoming poor that we might be made rich. Grace is while we were yet sinners Christ died in our place. Grace is God providing the skins to cloth Adam and Eve and then clothing them. Grace is God providing the Lamb in the thicket after Abraham was stopped in the sacrifice of Isaac. Grace is John the baptist calling out, 'Behold! the lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world.' Grace is what we do not deserve but absolutely need and given freely to all called of God and purchased with the precious blood of Christ. Grace is freely offered to all who know themselves to be in need and that cannot pay or earn. Grace is for humble beggars who will but simply cry for mercy in repentance of sin.
